Susan St Clare

A cosy mystery, steeped in secrets

A Whiff of Herbal Murder

Out now

It’s curtains for the Watermill Players’ leading lady. Enter three female sleuths and a dog, two with super-sharp noses and one with a pot of tea — hot on a scent that soon leaves the police trailing.

About the author

Susan St Clare

Susan St Clare is my pen name — a brighter space to explore my love of cosy mysteries and romance. I write about quirky characters and village charm, glorious seaside settings, and Regency romances with a dash of spice and a hint of humour.

When I’m not weaving tales of love and intrigue, I’m often exploring classic literature, directing a play, walking in the countryside or baking from my mum’s old recipes. I live in the UK and love spending time with my family.

I’m a member of the Romantic Novelists’ Association (RNA) and the Society of Authors (SOA).

Or, if you’re in the mood for something different

Meet the alter ego behind the teapots…

When I’m not brewing up heartwarming village romances and mysteries, I step into my real-name persona as Susan Sachon. In that corner of my creative world, I love deep-diving into academic research on Shakespeare’s theatre, running workshops and directing plays!

You can read more about these darker blends here – or take a look at my Shakespeare-inspired mystery thriller.
